We’d hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but we must ask for the support of our friends, family, and fans. My cancer situation has sapped the band’s savings, and now we are in dire need of some cash to dig ourselves out of debt and move forward. I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma July of last year. I got the news while we were at The Trowbridge Village Pump Festival at the end of a short EU tour. At the time, we had to accept the possibility that those would be our last performances ever. I don’t want to get into the horrors of cancer or all the awful / wonderful things we’ve been through; I just want to ask the people who’ve supported us before to support us again.. To be clear, I am “lucky” enough to have qualified for Medicaid here in NY, living well below the poverty line, so we have some help with the medical bills themselves. However, the band spent all our funds on my living expenses for the last 9 months – and let me tell you, we know how to stretch a buck! The money we raise from donations will go to replacing broken equipment, vehicle and instrument insurance and maintenance, gas, rent, recording fees, and all the things that go into making a five piece band stay afloat in NYC. Any and all help and donations are greatly appreciated.
