Sculpture

The self-described opto-musical agglomerate Sculpture was born in 2008 after a chance encounter between British musician and producer Dan Hayhurst and New Zealand visual artist Reuben Sutherland. By combining practices, the pair’s first test splattered a psychedelic palette that pushed them to explore digital composition, analogue electronics, comic strips, sci-fi pop, psychedelia, and multisensory perception. Their LP, Membrane Pop, was released in 2014. Their most recent work is the tape and graphic novel, Nearest Neighbour, as well as a series of audio and video works on their Plastic Infinite label.
